A Fair with A Concert! : Budget-Friendly concert for everyone!
On 20th of March 2025, Thammasat University hosted a TU fair event where they had a variety of food for you to enjoy and also a concert from a well known artist for 12 days straight! Each day will have a different line up and you can enjoy a concert for 3 hours with only 100 Baht, a friendly price for a university who has a tight pocket of course.
I am a university student who has a true passion for music. I always attend a concert whenever I have free time or spare money. So if you are also interested in joining a concert with limited budget i’m here to guide you.
On March 20, I attended a concert where Tilly Bird was performing. I’m pretty sure that everyone in Thailand has heard of Tilly Bird before since they are one of the biggest pop-bands in Thailand with a huge fan base and millions of streams across the platform. Because of this, I was shocked to see that the ticket cost only 100 Baht, for the biggest band like this it sounds impossible. After I bought a ticket the staff led me into Naga Terrace, the venue for the show. It's a big stadium with no seats.
At first I thought I would only watch the Tilly Birds concert but it turns out that a local band played folk music and Esan song (native languages from northeastern Thailand) throughout the first 2 hours and I found it very impressive how they combine the both completely different music genre performances in 1 concert. The crowd is dancing like crazy and the beat is intense. The vibe is out of the world.
Tilly Bird performed for an hour straight. The band’s unique approach to entertainment and engagement with the crowd even the guitarist and the drummer also have their own solo. The most memorable part was when the song “Until Then” was played, the audience singing with their heart out and I noticed many were crying during the performance.
After the show finished, I decided to interview two of the audience. And they both have a different point of view for today's performance. And here are the videos.
You can clearly see that both of the interviewers have different tastes in music, but they still enjoy the show. So if you have a passion for music and have never been to a concert before, I highly recommend going at least once in your life. You’re not just getting to listen and see your favorite artist, but you’re getting a vibe and unforgettable experience from the show.
