On the way to champions: through obstacles and overcome.

On March 27, I experienced a live football game between the “BE” and “Para Peun” teams on the “9UP” arena, located in Pathumthani.

Before starting the game, I got a chance to have a talk with two players from the BE team, taking goal-keeper and striker positions on the field. They have shared with me that they have practiced really hard for this match, and they are ready to show their best.

After the warm-up session, the game finally started. “Para Peun” took an action by passing the ball to cente-back to build it up to the front. With the first try of shooting the goal, they couldn’t reach it; it was saved by the goal keeper. Then, the “BE” team started to set up their attack, but they had lost the ball. After getting the corner, they have successfully kicked the ball, getting the first score to their team. With several tries, opponents finally got a chance to change the score to be 1:1, making the game become more intensive.

With time running out, both teams were fighting hard for the win. Team “Para Peun” shooted again, making the score change to 2:1. The final signal blew, making the leading side the winner for today’s match.

Today’s game showed that some of the players from the “BE” team are not well-trained to compete with the strong opponents. Moreover, few of them were having injuries, not letting them show the “perfect” result. They have reflected: “We are not satisfied with the outcome, meaning we have to work on improving our skills and hopefully we are going to be able to show better performances in the future”.
